How to build this workflow

Step 1

Make sure you have all your CPC channel data inside spreadsheets. Use one spreadsheet per channel. You want to keep the channel spreadsheets separate because the channels are not always managed by a single person. It also makes it easier to manage and analyze the data per channel. You can use Google Sheets add-ons to pull the data from multiple sources into a spreadsheet.

It’s important that all the different CPC spreadsheets have the same column structure, just like a database. For instance, column A = campaign name, column B = date, column C = impressions, etc.

Step 2

Merge all the different CPC spreadsheets into one single master sheet using Sheetgo’s consolidate connection.

Open Sheetgo to create a new connection. As your source, select all the CPC spreadsheets, one by one. For your destination spreadsheet, choose to create a new spreadsheet. This will be your master sheet.

In the third section, “Settings”, enable “Identify source” and click on “Save connection”. This will identify the source (CPC spreadsheet name) of the data that appears in the master spreadsheet.

Step 3

Now that you have a master spreadsheet you can analyze and manage the data as you need. If you need to share any of the CPC data with others, create another connection to send that data to a different spreadsheet.

Example 1: you can set up a connection to your finance department’s spreadsheet to have the CPC monthly costs flowing into the finance spreadsheet automatically every month.

Example 2: create another connection to a new spreadsheet that functions as your CPC dashboard which you can share with your marketing team.

Example 3: there’s a good chance that you are managing your other marketing KPIs in spreadsheets as well. Create more connections to centralize all your marketing data into one marketing master sheet.

Step 4

All the Sheetgo connections that you have created are grouped inside a workflow on app.sheetgo.com. This enables you to visualize and organize your spreadsheet connections.

Make sure to enable “Automatic updates” to automate the data flow between all your connected spreadsheets.

Step 5

You can share the entire workflow with your team members. By doing so you can allow them to update the connections, and give them edit access to all the spreadsheets inside that workflow — in one click.
