Copy the Template Sheets<\/h3>\nIn order to use our template, you will need to make your own copy of each sheet. Clicking the links below will take you directly to that step. The copies will open in your browser, and be automatically saved in your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/drive\/\">Google Drive.&nbsp;<\/a>You can give each sheet a unique name to reflect your company or project.\n\nKeep in mind, that if you have multiple employees or project collaborators, you will need an employee sheet for each individual. You can do this by clicking <strong>File&nbsp;\u2192 Make a copy&nbsp;<\/strong>in the spreadsheet template. Be sure to assign a unique name to each spreadsheet copy. Input Projects and Tasks<\/h3>\nOpen the Manager Sheet. You can see at the bottom of the screen, that this template consists of multiple tabbed spreadsheets. Configure the Employee Timesheet<\/h3>\nThis is where we will employ Sheetgo to connect the two sheets. For this tutorial, we are only using&nbsp;<em>one<\/em> employee sheet, but chances are you have at least a handful of employees. So, keep in mind, you will need to make a Sheetgo connection for each individual employee sheet. Before connecting we recommend renaming this sheet to the name of your employee (e.g., John Kim's Timesheet).\n<ol>\n \t<li>Click <strong>Add-ons \u2192 Sheetgo \u2192 Start<\/strong>. This will open the Sheetgo sidebar on right side of your spreadsheet.<\/li>\n \t<li>Click on the&nbsp;<strong>+<\/strong> in the lower right corner of the sidebar to create a new connection.<\/li>\n \t<li>On the next screen, click&nbsp;<strong>Select File(s)&nbsp;<\/strong>to choose a data source.<\/li>\n \t<li>Find and select your copy of the <strong>Manager Sheet<\/strong>&nbsp;spreadsheet.<\/li>\n \t<li>After it loads, you will see a drop-down menu available which allows you&nbsp;to select a specific sheet (tab) from within the spreadsheet. Select the sheet&nbsp;\"<strong>Tasks\".<\/strong><\/li>\n \t<li>Next, you need to configure the settings for this connection. For this example, I have given the connection a unique name to reflect the employee John Kim and enabled an <strong>automatic update,<\/strong> <strong>Daily<\/strong>, from <strong>Midnight to 1AM<\/strong>. They can also select their name from the&nbsp;dropdown menu in the configuration tab to have an easy visual of the tasks assigned to them.\n<h3>Step 5. Consolidate the Employee Sheets with the Manager Sheet<\/h3>\nIn the last step, we imported information from the manager sheet into the employee sheet. Now we need to create a connection that sends the flow of information in the opposite direction so that employee times are automatically reported to the manager.\n<ol>\n \t<li>Click <strong>Add-ons \u2192 Sheetgo \u2192 Start<\/strong>. This will open the Sheetgo sidebar on right side of your spreadsheet.<\/li>\n \t<li>Click on the&nbsp;<strong>+<\/strong> in the lower right corner of the sidebar to create a new connection.<\/li>\n \t<li>On the next screen, click&nbsp;<strong>Select File(s)&nbsp;<\/strong>to choose a data source.<\/li>\n \t<li>Find and select one of your employee's time sheets. Then, click the <strong>Add more<\/strong> button, and repeat until you have selected all the employee timesheets you need involved in this project.<\/li>\n \t<li>As in step 4, we need to use the drop-down menu to ensure data is being pulled from the correct spreadsheet. Make sure to select <strong>Project Timesheet<\/strong> as your source tab.<\/li>\n \t<li>After you add all of the timesheets, move into the settings section on the Sheetgo sidebar. Give the connection a unique name.
