Cookies Policy

About this policy

This Cookies Policy explains how Sheetgo uses cookies and similar technologies on its public website, in the Sheetgo web application, and in the Sheetgo add-on for Google Sheets. Some of the technologies described below run inside the Sheetgo web application and not only on the public website.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how Sheetgo handles personal data more generally.

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website or online service stores on your browser or device. They allow the service to remember information between pages or visits, such as whether you are signed in, your language choice, or how you reached the service.

We also use similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels. Local storage saves information in your browser. Pixels and related tags can record when a page, email, or feature is viewed or used. In this policy, references to cookies include these similar technologies where appropriate.

On the Sheetgo website, FingerprintJS creates a device identifier from browser and device characteristics to help recognize returning devices for security and abuse prevention. It does not rely on storing a cookie.

Cookies may be first-party cookies, set by Sheetgo, or third-party cookies, set by another provider whose service Sheetgo uses. Some cookies last only for the browser session. Others remain for a stated period unless you delete them sooner. The durations below are approximate because the exact lifetime can depend on the provider, browser, settings, and how you use the service.

Why we use cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary and security cookies operate the service, maintain sessions, support sign-in, route traffic, prevent abuse, and provide features that you request.
  • Functionality and preference cookies remember choices and page variants so that the service behaves consistently.
  • Attribution cookies help us understand how a visitor first reached Sheetgo and the source of the visitor’s most recent visit, including when a visit results in a signup.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how people use Sheetgo, including through usage statistics, session replay, and heatmaps, so we can assess and improve our pages and services.
  • Advertising and remarketing cookies measure advertising conversions and help show or evaluate relevant advertising.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because the service cannot operate properly without them. Sheetgo provides a cookie consent tool through which you can accept or refuse non-essential categories and change or withdraw your choice at any time. We are working to ensure that non-essential cookies are set only after you have accepted them. Until then, you can refuse them through the cookie consent tool or delete them using the browser controls described below.

Services used when you choose a feature

Some third-party services may set cookies or use similar technologies when you choose to use their features. These services include Intercom for support chat, Stripe for checkout and payment, Calendly for meeting booking, Google for sign-in, and YouTube for embedded video. Non-essential cookies used by these services are subject to your consent choices.

Cloudflare, including its analytics beacon, jsDelivr, cdnjs, and FlyingPress may also be involved in delivering, securing, or improving the performance of pages. These services may process technical information needed to provide content and maintain the reliability of the service.

For more information about providers that process personal data for Sheetgo, see our Subprocessors page.

How to manage your choices

When you first visit the website, the consent banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies. The website uses Google Consent Mode to communicate your choice to relevant Google services and control non-essential cookie storage. Refusing non-essential cookies does not prevent strictly necessary cookies from being used.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings link on the website. A changed choice applies from that point forward. You may also need to delete cookies already stored in your browser if you want to remove them immediately.

You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Browser controls vary, so consult your browser’s help or settings menu for instructions. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, security features, or other parts of Sheetgo from working correctly. Browser controls for local storage, pixels, and similar technologies may differ from cookie controls.

International data transfers

Cookie and similar-technology data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area by the relevant provider. Where personal data is transferred internationally, the safeguards that apply are described in our Privacy Policy.
