And when you publish your workbook to Sharepoint, its sharing capabilities make it easier than ever to collaborate in teams.

But what if you only want to share certain information from your spreadsheets with specific team members? Or if you want to send personal data from one workbook to other files?

Sharing an Excel workbook with colleagues allows for co-authoring, meaning multiple people can work in the same file, with all changes updated in real time.

This can be very useful, but you have to be careful with access permissions on complex or sensitive documents. Too many “hands” on the same spreadsheet can be risky, especially when you’ve spent a long time creating your spreadsheet and applying formulas to your data.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”3_5,2_5″ make_equal=”on” _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” background_color=”#d3e3ff” custom_padding=”30px|30px|30px|30px|true|true” border_radii=”on|12px|12px|12px|12px” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_column type=”3_5″ _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” custom_css_main_element=”margin:auto” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” header_font_size=”33px” header_4_font_size=”24px” background_color=”RGBA(255,255,255,0)” text_font_size_tablet=”17px” text_font_size_phone=”17px” text_font_size_last_edited=”on|phone” header_4_font_tablet=”” header_4_font_phone=”” header_4_font_last_edited=”on|tablet” text_orientation_tablet=”center” text_orientation_phone=”center” text_orientation_last_edited=”on|phone” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”]

Ready to streamline your data?

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_5″ _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” custom_css_main_element=”margin:auto” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_button button_url=”https://app.sheetgo.com/” url_new_window=”on” button_text=”START NOW” button_alignment=”center” _builder_version=”4.22.2″ _module_preset=”default” custom_button=”on” button_text_size=”16px” button_text_color=”#ffffff” button_bg_color=”#2979ff” button_border_width=”0px” button_border_radius=”6px” button_font=”|700|||||||” button_use_icon=”off” custom_margin=”0px|0px|0px|0px|true|true” custom_margin_tablet=”10px||||false|false” custom_margin_phone=”10px||||false|false” custom_margin_last_edited=”on|phone” custom_padding=”15px|20px|15px|20px|true|true” global_colors_info=”{}” button_bg_color__hover_enabled=”on|hover” button_bg_color__hover=”rgba(41,121,255,0.7)” button_bg_enable_color__hover=”on” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][/et_pb_button][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.17.4″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”]

Why filter Excel data from one workbook to another

If you want to prevent others from having access to your master spreadsheet, you should filter data from one workbook to another and allow them to access only the information you want to share.

In order to do so, you can connect multiple Excel workbooks with an automated workflow.
