Step 5) Create a connection to consolidate department budgets<\/h3>\n
Now you will use Sheetgo to consolidate all of the department budgets in a single tab of your Master Budget. To do this, you need to create a Consolidate From Folder connection.<\/p>\n
\n- Open Sheetgo by clicking\u00a0Add-ons<\/strong> > Sheetgo <\/strong>> Start\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>and hover over the\u00a0+<\/strong>to\u00a0create a new Import connection.<\/li>\n
- Search for your source folder,\u00a0Department Budgets<\/strong>, that was automatically created before.<\/li>\n
- Instead of choosing one single file, click on\u00a0<\/span>Select this Folder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- Once it loads the tabs, choose the\u00a0<\/span>Budget Request<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>tab as the source.<\/li>\n
- In\u00a0<\/span>Settings<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>it is IMPORTANT that you change the connection name, it must be\u00a0<\/span>SG_Budget Request.<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Select the\u00a0<\/span>Filter<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>option, enable it, select\u00a0<\/span>Query Language<\/strong>\u00a0and paste the following text:\u00a0<\/span>SELECT A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M.<\/i><\/strong><\/li>\n
- Save the connection by clicking on the green checkmark button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
When complete your connection should look like the image below.<\/p>\n

Step 6) Update budgeted data from each department<\/h3>\n
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You now have your Budget system completed. Once the heads of each department complete their budgets, you just need to run Sheetgo in your Master Budget and update the consolidate connection we created in the prior step.<\/p>\n
